28/10/2017 (Day 503: Holiday Reflection)

This is the first daily blog that I have written in well over a week so apologises if the writing style might come across as a little but rusty. The reason why there were so many content creator blogs was because I went on holiday last Friday and it was a much needed holiday. I mentioned it on the blog from last Thursday but I think it would be really cool to explain and speak about how the holiday was because there was some really good memories that I gained from the holiday.

The first thing was that I went on holiday to Newquay in Cornwall because it is a place where the TV show Doc Martin was recorded and I had never been to Cornwall before. I now question why I had never been to this wonderful part of England before because I think it is one of the most beautiful places that I have been as it was such a serene part of the world. The hills were gorgeous and some of the landscape photos and video that was able to capture was simply beautiful to look at. I am so glad that I went on holiday because it wasn’t only the scenery was awesome, I was able to achieve something that I had been trying to get back into for quite some time.

I started writing remixes again which I haven’t made any for nearly 5 months and I decided to start working on a remix for Jenko because I had 40 minutes worth of clips and some of the sounds she made would make for some good beats. I was initially apprehensive because it had been 5 months since I made a remix and I was worried that perhaps the music rust would mean that I lost the magic I once had, but it was the entire opposite. The elements of the remix took longer to come together and it took longer to make, but at the end of the day I am happy with the end results. The Jenko remixes though are still in the works as I am releasing an entire EP of Jenko remixes because I have gained a lot of confidence in my music writing abilities and I think the new things that Logic Pro X has added recently will allow me to write even more professional music.

Apart from those two things, the holiday was great because it allowed me to recuperate and take a much needed break from the stresses and disappointments that had happened previously. I feel really refreshed and almost reborn because there is a new ambition and drive to the projects I want to work on. There are so many things I want to work on in the coming weeks and months that are big projects and small projects alike, but it is now managing time better now I have a job.

Overall, there is definitely plenty of work to do in the coming weeks but the holiday was much needed as I feel refreshed and ready to go again.

Have an awesome day everyone and I will see you all tomorrow.

Liam
